This guide is for controlling the length of fully automated articles, alternatively you can create custom outlines to fully control your output.
Machined lets you control the length of your articles. It does this by controlling the number of sections in the outline, assuming that the average section has about 400 words. A section is defined as any H2 with all of its child content.
The table below shows how many sections and words are generated on average:

The example below has 3 sections and will be roughly 1200 words.
From the cluster view, use the Length
dropdowns to change the length for each individual article or all of the articles in the cluster:
Creating long-form content is pretty straight forward, simply select Long
- that's it!
To create a listicle requires you to control both the length as well as the title:
Length: Short
Title: Listicle style
for example:
"10 Best Beaches in Greece"
"Best 7 SEO Tips for Beginners"
This will result in an outline like:
Remember that AI can be inconsistent and unpredictable so it may not work perfectly every time.
