Exporting

How to download or export your content

Generally, we highly recommend using one of our built-in integrations (like Wordpress or Webflow) or using our webhooks with automation tools like Zapier and Make.

However if these don't work for you, you can also:

  • Copy rich text content for pasting into an editor

  • Export the content as a markdown file

  • Export the content as a html file

  • Export the featured image

Copy Rich Text

Rich text can be useful if you manually work with general purpose document editors like Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Notion and so on. The rich text can easily be pasted into these tools along with the basic formatting: headers, bold/italics, bullets, lists, tables and so on.

You can follow our guide on copy-pasting rich text.

Export as HTML

HTML is the markup language of the internet and it can be useful in many scenarios - ie, you have a custom built website and want to import the raw html, or if your editor of choice allows you to paste html with some basic formatting. Whatever your use case, it's super easy to export your content in raw html form.

You can follow our guide on exporting html.

Export as Markdown

Markdown can be useful if your CMS uses markdown or if you prefer to edit raw markdown files (good for you!). Many modern CMS and blogging platforms allow you to add blog posts are basic markdown files. We don't currently provide frontmatter or mdx, but you can easily export your articles as basic markdown files.

You can follow our guide on exporting markdown.

You can also export your featured images, allowing you to do any sort of processing on them and upload them wherever you need them.

You can follow our guide on exporting featured images.
